Did you ever try some white vinegar for the water spots? and yeah, after some more digging, I believe you are correct, I don't think xzilon is a ceramic coat. They are not very forth-coming about what it actually is. WWW searches say some kind of paint protectorant which is "molecular adhered" to the paint. Water does bead off really well, but the xilon FAQ page says you can wax it with a carnauba wax (if you want.) - not necessary for the warranty, though. I don't think it's recommended to wax a ceramic coating.
I never used the vinegar because when I got it ceramic coated the guy got the spots off. Yea you shouldn’t put wax on top of ceramic coat. Doesn’t mean you can’t but it won’t benefit anything, it will actually make it less hydrophobic
ahh nice I did a road trip to a cancelled drag racing/ car show. Got decent mpgs for driving in the hills of teh Birkshire mountians. 272 miles and 20.5 mpg all on 1 tank. I filled up and still had almost a half tank left. Ran in sport mode and track mode
I used adaptive cruise on the way home yesterday but in the back of my mind I was a little nervous lol.
