My 2012 Ram has the 3.55 gears.
    Never gave it much thought.

No, I meant I never gave the rear gears much thought, I figured they were the same.

The tazer.... not something I see myself doing.

Even on the Ram I replaced the factory radio with the big screen factory radio and installed a factory tailgate camera and got it flashed at the dealer.

Speaking of the tazer, I read that they pulled the latest update Because of issues and I think they recommend to remove the update if you are running it. Not positive but would be worth looking into.

We had something like 1000 downloads of 2.4.0, not sure how many installed it, but it’s probably quite a few. In the past 2 days there were 7 people that contacted me about various issues, ranging from quirky unexplained operation like Line lock causing the dash to reset, to 3 cars where part of the configuration was written corrupt, resulting in a dashboard lighting with all sorts of warnings, and one car that wouldn’t start. I quickly was able to walk these people through capturing the config using the tazer and a laptop, and putting things back again. But that’s a nightmare that nobody wants to go through, hence my reason for pulling the update. I have found that due to a memory allocation error on my part, it made for the possibility of this erratic operation. Chances are you’d be fine, but having to stay up till 2AM to walk someone through a fix, then again the following morning is something I’m trying to avoid. The fix is fairly simple; it won’t take long at all, and I’ll also fix a mistake I made for those that have front cameras. And the defaults for autoSport and such.
Unfortunately the timing of this isn’t great, as myself and my crew are headed to SEMA tomorrow morning. I’ll be modifying code on the flights to and from SEMA, and hope to test it out when I get back on Thursday. I’d like to get this fixed and re-released as quickly as possible.
I thank you for your patience and for putting your faith in Z Automotive, I know you all work hard for these wonderful machines, and we at Z Automotive strive to make them a little bit better...
