Thought I would bump this back up as it reinforces my purchase of the spare tire kit.

We were coming back from Corpus Christi tonight in the truck, and sure enough, we get a flat.
A dark, empty stretch of Texas road, 30mi from town, 8pm on a weekend.

Much easier to put on a spare and get home (or to a hotel if we are traveling)
than call for help and wait.

But the wife is still impressed that I can just get out and change it and we are on our way.....

From everything I have seen about limited slip rear ends I would not want to run the spare on the rear either. So if I got a flat on the rear I would be doing a double tire change and since this won’t fit over the 6 pots looks like I’m stuck with the pump and goo lol

If it is a simple puncture, I will do the pump and goo or a plug (easy kit to store) and pump,
but with my luck it will be a situation where neither of those will work.
Last night, neither of those options would have worked. A chunk of tire had peeled off.

I am lucky that with the 4-piston brembo's, the performance spare works front or rear, however,
it's a temporary use tire, it is not made for high speed or long term use,
but being able to even limp somewhere safe is more important.

Our 2012 Ram1500 had the same issue, the spare is a smaller with a 17" rim vs. the 20" which came on the truck.

But, I replaced the TYO tire on the truck with a full size spare with a matching rim,
even though the guy at the local tire shop tried to tell my wife a full size was not going to fit under there.

    FYI, it does.

Speaking of tires, I really hate the tires that came with this car, Goodyear Eagle RS A (does the RSA stand for Road Side Assistance?) lol.

    They are loud.
My wife says we paid for them, so she won't let me change them till they need it.

Or do a few burnouts, swap the tires...then complete your mission by another long burnout.
