Cleaning Mopar intake?

    I looked under the hood and there was no water/soap marks or anything so the bubbles just accumulated in the huge gap below the hood down from the windshield

    This reminds me, I have a K&N on my Ram 1500, I really need to remember to clean that thing when I get home.

    That's the whole reason when I had the K&N on my 2011 ram I bought a aem dryfoerce cone filter. Cleaning, waiting for it to dry, and then oiling then waiting for that to dry is a pain and takes time.

    Stand it upright on the bottom rack of the dishwasher the spinner jet washer works great 1 complete cycle wash and dry and reinstall
    as long as it is not paper . Just DO NOT tell the wife or girl friend.

    Upright as opening towar top or opening toward bottom?

    My dishwasher shoots the jet spray from the bottom. So the opening faces the bottom. cleans filter from inside outward.

    just water cycle or use dish detergent?

    I use Cascade Detergent, when done and still warm coat the rubber seal with Vaseline or some kind of hand lotion to keep it soft and pliable.
