    Howdy all,

Finally got around to creating an account after seeing Quietpeen's invitation on the Ram board. The car is my wife's daily driver, a 2017 SXT - AWD w/Rallye pkg. She really wanted a Hemi but rwd in the snowbelt just isn't a good idea!

Is rwd a big no no in snow? Is it due to the back not having as much weight as in the front? I never see snow in Arizona, unless I drive to it.

i would imagine weight is part of it, but fwd drive cars perform better in snow. With rwd when you start spinning you get a lot of fish tailing. Might also be that with fwd you are more pulling the car through snow rather than pushing it through the snow.

That sums it up pretty well. We live in the snow belt, rwd pushing the car thru the snow is for the birds, fwd, awd, 4x4 is preferable. The wife was pissed when Dodge decided no more Hemi's for awd cars (Charger anyhow).

Always good to welcome another Ram and Charger owner. MOPAR heaven to be sure. Have been curious about how the AWD performs in slippery conditions with these cars.
