    I have the same harmon system in mine and i think it sounds like crap. Have to turn the bass almost all the way down cause its just distorts the rest. Im a big fan on loud and jamming but i dont know. I use the equalizer adjust and have the bass set two clicks above zero. Mid is 3 clicks and treble is all the way up.

    i wonder if you are hearing vibrations and thinking that is distortion? I have to have the radio up pretty loud with certain bass frequencies to get any distortion. However I can hear the rear deck rattling/vibrating at times. Even the dash can vibrate. The door panels can vibrate. The biggest culprit will be the rear deck though since that is where the sub is mounted

    Workplaydrive on youtube has a challenger with the same system and the rear deck pad rattled a lot. he took it down and put pads between the deck and the cover to stop it

    Having had the Beats system in my 16 Chrysler 300S and now the HK system in my Charger the difference is night and day. For all the hype (mainly by the dealer)I thought the Beats was very poor fidelity. I ripped it all out and spent $4000 and changed it all to JL audio with custom box and two amps. Then it sounded nice. I will say however for half the price on the HK system it sounds awesome. I listen to rock, metal, country and all sound great. Its clean even turned all the way up. It is a well designed system and would recommend it to anyone that normally trashes the OE stereo for something better. It really shines when playing digital music like my iTunes. Not bad on Sirius Satellite, Nothing sounds great on regular radio stations.
