Why does the exhaust burp when it shifts in between gears at wide open throttle? Can that be fixed? Or what can or cant be done.
so i don't know if that is something that can be fixed, but it is something that many people actually like about these cars lol. I have read where one guy said that the active valves were what caused the burping and popping. I'm not sure I buy his theory though because the 5.7's with the active exhaust do not have the burping and popping.
Oh disregard my post. I was thinking of the popping on deceleration not the hard shifts. The valves have nothing to do with that
However most people also like the “burping” or real firm shifts To reduce it drive in street or normal mode
Its in street mode when it starts. In a few secs its in track. Lol. Most of the time anyway. Im thinking it has something to do with power management. Im used to when in WOT. of no power loss. Shifting gears and spinning tires. Lol
