Today if the roads dry up I’m gonna try to get the car out for a drive. It has been sitting for about a week and it’s been cold so I will also see if remote start will works.
It remote started today after sitting in the cold for about a week and I got a nice highway drive in so it should be good. I just need to regularly get a good drive in to charge the battery back up
I think it might be worth investing in a batteryMINDer or similar unit to keep the battery charged if the car is going to be in the garage for a while. Especially for those of you up north in the frigid temperatures.
My thought is to permanently connect the harness to battery, the unit I'm looking at has a quick disconnect, so I would just unplug the unit from the trunk and go. I suspect that for the desulfator process to work correctly, it may need to connected directly. However, I have not looked into whether that would be a problem or not.
My thought is if you close the trunk to keep the light off you do two things....one kink the cord and two probably put a permanent impression in the trunk seals thus risking water leaking into the trunk
