Jack Points for 2016 Charger

    After 50 years of jacking up cars and changing/rotating tires, I feel kind of stupid posting this. However, things have changed over the years and with the flimsy underside of unibody cars, one has to be very careful using a floor jack.

    The owner's manual shows the jack points as the pinch welds just behind the front wheel and just in front of the rear wheels. While looking for jack pad adapters for the car, the vendors all seem to say the rear of the Charger already has jack pads. Perhaps they are the round objects just in front of the pinch weld slot in the photo but I can find nothing to confirm that. Anyone know??

    Also, has anyone purchased and used pinch weld adapters for the front jack point on their cars? Most adapters are too long. The available pinch weld space in less than two inches. I custom made one (see photo) out of a nylon bench block but thought there might be a better commercial option (perhaps a permanent install or magnetic). No luck so far. Any links?

    ive only jacked mine at home. I bought a low pro 2.5 ton jack and I lift on the frame or the posts.

    Ive had the front end off 3 times already which requires the wheels being off so im a pro now LOL

    I've got a low pro jack as well. What parts of the frame do you lift on? Some frame parts look like they would be safe to use but are not. Found that out the hard way on my 2000 Impala. Not sure what you mean by posts?

    so first thing.......I had to take my passenger rear wheel off the new 392 last night to clean the caliper and I saw that rubber bumper shown in your picture. It stood out to me because my 5.7 didn't have it. if that rubber thing is an acceptable jack point it will definitely be used in the future for quick tasks that don't require the jack stand.

    second when wanting to put the car up on jack stands i tend to want to put the jack stand where the jack points are so i have to jack the car up from a different location anyway.

    I use this spot, I made my own jacking pucks, went to a local sports place bought some ice hockey pucks, drilled hole through middle and put some eye bolts through it. There is another spot behind front wheel like it too for jacking

    I won't lie, my previous car was a 2011 Grand Sport Corvette, idea came from couple of guys on a Corvette forum, been using it for several years now thou, works great! :)

    Come to think of it, the Corvette lifting pucks look a lot like the one you made. I had a 2015 Stingray and had a set of pucks that snapped into slots behind the front tire and in front of the rear. Never had to remove them. Always there when if you needed them at home or on the road. I wish all vehicles had jack points like that. Made it very easy.
